We are always looking for talented law school students for spring, summer, and fall internships/ externships.

Interns can expect to research substantive legal issues, draft formal memorandums on issues, and draft portions of briefs. We have multiple cases pending at the district court and appellate level, and interns can gain valuable substantive experience and make a real contribution to our cases.

Interns/ externs should expect to work remotely. However, interns located in the D.C. area may have the opportunity to meet together in person and attend hearings.

For 1L students, if your first semester grades are not yet available, please send us your application and supplement it later when grades become available.

We review applications and interview candidates on a rolling basis (first come, first served). Therefore, we recommend sending us your applications by the following deadlines:

Fall externships: August 1st

Spring externships: January 1st

Summer Internships: February 1st

All internships are unpaid, but we can offer any assistance to secure school funding or school credit. This public interest internship may also qualify for pro bono credit hours where applicable.
